She began her professional career as a teacher because of her love for children and her desire to impact their lives. As she worked with her junior high students, she realized that many of them had trouble remembering the facts and information she was teaching. Being innovative and creative, she decided to use something that they were familiar with to help them learn the material. They loved rap music, so she thought she would put the information in a rap and see if the student could retain the information. It worked, and the word spread of her success and she began to use this strategy in her speaking endeavors. After receiving a dream from God, she began to write music and perform and her musical ministry has made a positive impact on the world. LYRIK has a unique gift that sets her apart from other Christian Rap music artists. Whether it’s a high energy anthem, or a heartfelt story she’s telling accompanied by soulful melodies, she aims to spread hope through her lyrics while providing an unforgettable experience. She writes from a Gospel centered perspective using scripture and personal experience to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Having been a performer for over 10 years, LYRIK has toured nationally and performed several times internationally. She is a multi-award winning artist. Having been awarded numerous National and International recognitions. She has been featured on several TV programs, News channels, magazines and websites and her music and videos have been featured on radio and TV stations in various countries.
